The first gig we ever played in Brighton was at upstairs at the Fitzherberts. That was me and Simon, fresh from moving out of Cornwall. There were about 9 people there, two of them were Nick Cave and his partner. It was "vibey." And just over 3 years later we are going to play there again. We played a couple of shows at the big place next door, The Dome, as part of Brighton's Great Escape festival, and a Source new music night. Not the best shows we've ever done. So this could be good. We do intend to be real in our feelings, and maybe you can feel them too in a small room. It's easier to be hospitable in a small place that feels like it could be, or have been, a home. That would be the hope. It's a Red River band and also Simon Drinkwater on the bill. Not sure of the order of performance yet, but if you happen to be in Brighton your presence would be warmly welcomed. We will once again be playing songs from forthcoming new album, and a couple oldies.
